At Ripperholics, we want you to be completely satisfied with your trading card purchases. This policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returns and refunds.
YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL (14-DAY COOLING-OFF PERIOD)
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a statutory right to cancel your online order for any reason and receive a full refund. This is often referred to as a “cooling-off period.”
How long do I have to cancel?
The cooling-off period starts the day after you receive your order. You have 14 calendar days from this date to inform us of your decision to cancel.
How do I inform you?
To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly inform us of your decision. You can do this by:

While not obligatory, you may use the Model Cancellation Form provided at the end of this policy.
Returning the goods after cancellation: Once you have informed us of your cancellation, you have a further 14 calendar days to return the goods to us.
CONDITION OF RETURNED GOODS
You are entitled to open the packaging and inspect the goods as you would in a shop. However, if the value of the goods is diminished by any unnecessary handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods, we may deduct an amount from the refund, up to the full price of the item. This generally means the item should be returned in a re-saleable condition. For trading cards, this means not opening sealed products (e.g., booster packs, boxes) if you intend to return them under the cooling-off period, as opening them significantly diminishes their value.
COST OF RETURN POSTAGE
If you cancel your order under the cooling-off period (i.e., you’ve simply changed your mind), you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us. We recommend using a tracked and insured service as we cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged in transit back to us.
REFUNDS FOR CANCELLED ORDERS
Once we receive the returned goods (or evidence that you have sent them back), we will process your refund within 14 calendar days.
The refund will include the full price of the goods you paid, including the standard delivery cost (if applicable) from us to you. If you opted for a premium delivery service (e.g., next-day delivery), we are only obliged to refund the cost of our standard delivery.
The refund will be issued using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise.
FAULTY, DAMAGED, OR NOT AS DESCRIBED ITEMS
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are separate from your right to cancel. If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you have additional rights:
- Within 30 days of receipt: If the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a full refund. Please contact us as soon as possible to arrange the return. We will cover the cost of return postage for faulty or damaged items.
- After 30 days, up to 6 months: If a fault develops after 30 days but within six months of purchase, you should allow us one opportunity to repair or replace the item. If a repair or replacement is not possible or is unsuccessful, you may then be entitled to a refund (which may be partial, considering any use you’ve had of the item) or a price reduction.
- After 6 months, up to 6 years: For faults discovered after six months, you may still be entitled to a repair or replacement, but you may need to prove that the fault was present at the time of purchase.
HOW TO INITIATE A RETURN FOR FAULTY/DAMAGED ITEMS
Please contact us immediately at info@ripperholics.com, providing:
- Your order number
- A description of the fault or damage
- Photographs of the fault/damage (if applicable)
We will then advise you on the next steps for returning the item and arranging your refund, repair, or replacement.
EXCEPTIONS TO THE RIGHT TO CANCEL
Please note that the right to cancel does not apply to certain types of contracts, including:
- Goods that are sealed for health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.
- Goods that are made to your specifications or are clearly personalised.
- Newspapers, periodicals, or magazines (except for subscription contracts).
- Goods which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.
