How many Naruto manga volumes are there?

Masashi Kishimoto's original Naruto manga runs for 72 numbered volumes. Volume 1 begins Naruto Uzumaki's story and Volume 72 contains the ending of the main series.

The 3-in-1 edition does not add or remove story. It simply repackages those same 72 volumes into 24 larger omnibus books, with three original volumes inside each book.

Is the Naruto manga finished?

Yes. The original Naruto manga is complete. Volume 72 is the final numbered volume of the main series, so you can collect the whole story without waiting for another Naruto volume.

Boruto and other Naruto spin-offs are separate series or side stories. They do not change Naruto's final count of 72 volumes.

Does Naruto Shippuden have a separate manga?

No. Naruto Shippuden is the name used for the second anime series after the timeskip. The manga never restarts its title or numbering.

The post-timeskip material begins in Naruto Volume 28 with Chapter 245. If you mainly know Naruto through the anime and want the manga section associated with Shippuden, Volume 28 is the useful starting point.

Which Naruto edition should you buy?

What comes after Naruto Volume 72?

Volume 72 ends the original Naruto manga. There is no Naruto Volume 73.

If you want more of the world after the main ending, Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring is a short post-series story, while Boruto: Naruto Next Generations begins a separate sequel manga with its own Volume 1.
